Still Sounds Like The Flirtations ...
I have known Earnee, Shirley & Vie (aka Pearly Gates) of The Flirtations for 17 years now. They have been around for an amazing 60 years. Their 1969 LP Sounds Like The Flirtations is a wonderful, timeless record including their signature tune Nothing But A Heartache. heard it the first time in France when playing an international under 19 soccer tournament, bought it over there in a import record store and took it back with me to Holland. No one new it by than and everyone hearing the sound loved it. I still play it, and it keeps giving you that positive vibe 😊

I will admit her material after 1984 does not appeal much to me. I will probably post her very first album from 1976 to complement the rest of my Kelly Marie series and show where she started from. It is quite pop-folksy so rather different from her disco period.
